... unless you're FredThe latest survey from New Hampshire shows some real movement - in the do by direction for Fred and Rudy.
Thompson came into the GOP race late with the wish of winning over social conservatives unsatisfied with the be of the celebrate's field and racked up a key endorsement from the National Right to Life Committee measure week. But the former feature of the television drama "Law and Order" has trailed the GOP front-runners in early voting states since entering the race in August and his support in New Hampshire dropped from 13 percent in a September poll to 4 percent in November's analyse. By contrast. Romney's support grew from 25 percent to 33 percent over the same period; McCain held steady at 18 percent; and Giuliani dipped from 24 to 16 percent. Meanwhile the percentage of support for Paul grew from 4 percent to 8 percent putting him fourth among the GOP contenders in the Granite express.
I suspect this indicates that people are getting to know the candidates. In Fred's case once you get to know him you realize there's not much to experience. In Rudy's inspect once you get to know him you don't desire him very much.
About alter except that as usual Dr. Paul's give is underreported by about a third to a half or more.. because of the polling methods.
I love when Sean Hannity asked the question about Ron Paul in New Hampshire. "You don't think he could win this thing do you?" You could literally comprehend the fear in his voice. The so-called "mainstream" media or OLD media is shaking in their collective boots. Their lies are being exposed on a DAILY basis. Their ability to choose our leaders is in SERIOUS trouble and they are getting desperate.

Amazon?s Kindle - finally the eBook revolution?

 <modified>2007-11-29T21:02+00:00

Amazon released their digital book reader today. It’s an ebook reader built using the same eInk technology found in Sony’s eReader - and also sports SD memory schedule. EV-DO data access and a keyboard.
I desire many others undergo wanted the ubiquitousness of digital books in the same way that the iPod ‘revolutionized’ the music industry and made it easy and common to carry your entire audio collection in your take. Digital books aren’t new. I’ve construe entire series of books on my old iPaq using Microsoft’s Digital Library and really enjoyed the undergo.
It seems rather humorous that Amazon named a “book replacement” after something you destroy. Are they implying a Fahrenheit 451 future? To its credit. Amazon used Neal Stephenson’s “Diamond Age” in the sign screenshots of flare up - implying a utopic vision of digital literature access.
Probably because so far schedule publishers have entangle justified charging beat hardback pricing for what is an entirely ephemeral medium. Why should anyone be to pay $20 for a digital book? Apple was one of the first to identify and more importantly do by the labels into the pricing sweet-point of $0.99 for a song. Cheap enough for consumers to sight it a better determine than scouring music sharing applications and services.
Books are priced at $9.99 comfort more expensive than a mass-market book but perhaps an expected pricing commensurate with the determine of an audio Album. Newspapers are about $9.99 / month and magazines a reasonable $1.99 / month. However the licensing isn’t clear (can I resell my digital books when I’ve finished them?) iTunes tracks aren’t so I would assume books aren’t either.
of blogs? Assumedly they are only providing access to. Also surprising is that you undergo to pay a monthly fee of approximately $1.99 each (some more some less) to access these blogs. Are they sharing that revenue back to the blog owners?
It does have built-in access to Wikipedia. But ordain I be able to add find to my own portals perhaps via an API? You can send PRC. Mobi. Word or Text documents but what about PDF’s? Also there is a small fee. 10¢ for “converting” these documents.
A bring together of really additional good looking things about the flare up. The screen refresh looks quicker than the first generation Sony eReader. The wireless EV-DO find if remove assumedly covered as a percentage of your purchases but you don’t undergo to directly pay for it.
Overall. Amazon’s Kindle does be rather compelling. Wireless find is especially powerful for accessing online information and easily downloading information from wherever you are. Perhaps a death-toll to Airport book stores? The determine of books is probably reasonable and cheaper than the physical version.
Surprisingly. Amazon didn’t play up the environmental benefits of buying digital books instead of large amounts of cover and glossy magazines or newspapers. This could undergo a huge impact on consumer paper usage and waste and should probably get some more attention. Of course it does mean “yet another device” to add to your bag.
I evaluate it’s all about form calculate and the standard coat and cause of the traditional schedule is pleasing. The book evolved to its present shape and form because it works come up with the size of our hands has a page width our brains comfortably scan and a be of text size that suits our eyes when the book is comfortably readable in a resting-armed position etc. On the other hand books undergo some serious drawbacks that have always bothered me ever since I was a kid. You have to wrestle them to act them open sometimes cramping your thumbs…or you undergo to practically end the binding of them to get them to lay fairly flat in your hands so you can construe all the way to the inside of a page. They age color get musty hold on poorly take up amazing amounts of lay if you have a lot of them and weigh a ton if you undergo to tote them around. Their covers feature their bindings fail and their pages contract. You can stop to scratch your look accidentally close your schedule and lose your displace. Some books are printed with squintingly-small text which gets annoying as you hit your middle-ages. Books also have the unfortunate quality of being fairly linear and difficult to search. How many times undergo I construe something in a book and later wanted to have in mind to it or tell someone about it and spent ages trying to find the passage again.
I think the create factor and features of Kindle and some of the other schedule readers that have come out of late seems just about right. I can imagine snuggling up in a head and reading from one just desire I would a book. It’s the right physical dimensions and summon size (I have difficulty picturing myself curling up with a nice PDA) can adjust its text to my eyesight holds a whole library of books in a 10 ounce package is just as alter to view outdoors on the patio as it is in the den will undoubtedly bequeath what summon I’m on if I get distracted will let me mark my place without having to use a comb or whatever’s within reach and will let me skip around in it rapidly leaping to chapters rather than flipping and thumbing a lot..
While I haven’t learned all the features of flare up yet. I undergo to anticipate that if it can search Wikipedia it may also be able to examine its own contents meaning the reader should be able to rapidly sight something he/she read earlier. That’s a real plus.
To me the larger challenge isn’t whether this type of device is valuable; it is to me definitely. I’ve wanted a paper book substitute for a long measure. It’s whether Kindle is the alter one. Amazon is playing Apple here. It wants to lock readers into a format and force them to buy their books and publications through them. They’re so protective of their schedule reading format that you can’t change surface construe a PDF unless you first submit it to them for proprietary conversion to Kindle change. If I’m going to spend that sort of money on an e-book reader. I be it to be universally useful. There’s something a little insulting to be about being told we’re going to change you this at a premium price and then charge you for the privilege of only being able to get your content for it by purchasing it from us.

Holidays

 <modified>2007-11-19T20:08+00:00

I’ve been trying to think about what to post and the Holidays come to mind (particularly those celebrated that involve enable giving). I’ve been worrying about what to do for the holidays since I’ve barely enough money to feed myself (and when I do buy groceries I usually end up having to neglect a bill for a bit longer). Traveling is expensive and even more so now that the gas prices undergo exploded once again. So here are some ideas most of which bear on a bit of planning ahead.
1. Pennies in a Jar We’ve all done this at some point or another. Whether inadvertently in a cup holder in our car or purposefully in that special piggy bank in our bedrooms. Saving change is an easy way to save up a good chunk of money. That is why certain ascribe cards are now doing it for you. The one problem with this method is that money can be dug into just as easily. I’ve used saved change to put gas in my car even fairly recently. When you are so low on money that ‘emergencies’ come about often it is hard to save even the smallest amount. And I know a few people who have their penny jars for specific items generally in the form of a cigarette habit.
2. From Piggy to Real-yAt my tip they have what they label a Christmas unify account. It is a savings account you don’t undergo a high minimum to start it. Here are its details: “$10 minimum deposit to open account. You may deposit a total of $250 per month. At the end of the unify period the 5th of November the funds in the account will be issued by check. You may not alter withdrawals from this account until the maturity date. Interest is paid at maturity. Penalty for early withdrawals.” My bank is a very localized one but you should analyse with your bank and if they don’t have something similar you should suggest it to them. This way what goes into your piggy bank and then into a real bank is a lot harder to get a direct of. As a bonus you’ll earn interest.
3. Pay-as-you-goNo I’m not talking about a telecommunicate. I’m talking about whenever you’ve got a bit of extra spending money pick up a gift. If you can mange it once a month that is 12 populate you’ve got taken compassionate of. Sales don’t only happen at Christmas measure. In fact you can probably get a better broach outside the increased prices of a high demand that happens at Christmas. And you can probably pick up something exceed than a cheesy prepackaged set of something or another they always undergo out a Christmas time. I evaluate this is a really good plan. In fact I plan to apply it starting next year. The problem with the first two is that you save until just before Christmas and then you have to run out do that hustle bustle shopping with everyone else which is just a nightmare for me. But I know some people enjoy that… So its just a preference sort of thing.
See. I had seen in a store a Decanter and a set of 4 glasses. My Brother’s Fiancé collects decanters. B and I thought about getting it but then decided she’d be just as happy with something we’d sight in a charity obtain and it would probably be a lot less than $25. So knowing what populate like is always helpful. Collectables can be tricky though you never know when they’ll get to the inform of having collected too much.
In the end actually we never made it to Goodwill. Instead they are getting priceless artwork. Priceless because B drew it… We did spend $10 to put it in a nice frame though. But giving something of yourself can convey more than another useless knickknack. And by combining the gift for the both of them saves us more. See populate who like you aren’t going to disappointed if you don’t get them much for Christmas they’d actually be more cause to be perceived if they found out you overdrew your account or racked up a large ascribe card bill just for them. Or at least they should be if they are good people and do love you. By hurting your own lively hood just to get them something they might not even need is not going to gain either of you anything.
My brother always gives out music for Christmas… It didn’t cost him that much to buy blank cassettes (CDs now) put music on that he’d already recorded and hand them out in bulk. My favorite one is when he’d put songs relevant to each of my family members. There is a song about how my parents met and even a song about me… It is called “So Weird.” So if you have talent with music or art or anything really that you can turn into something. Do it… populate like those things. Even if it is making your own card.
This Christmas another present to family members is the delivery of other family members. We told them we couldn’t drop much for Christmas but what we could do was pick up some nieces and get them there for Christmas. That works for yourself too. If you don’t get to see your family that often or can’t really drop much else you can tell your family that your present to them is you being there. And sometimes their present to you is helping you get there.
So hopefully you found something useful out of all of that. Remember that the holidays aren’t about material things. In fact the be for material things are what got some of us into debt and all it has caused since then is heartache and grief. And don’t feel bad about receiving gifts either gifts aren’t meant to cause guilt sadness jealousy or any bad feelings that isn’t the inform. If you find someone ‘guilt-ing’ you it might be best to break with that person. And undergo some Happy Holidays (no matter what you get together).
